Gold Wing Parts FAQ & Help Center
Clear answers about Honda Gold Wing part fitment, ordering, shipping, returns, warranties and delivery problems. Start with your exact model and year—the right answer depends on the bike.
Fitment & Choosing the Correct Part
This is the most important section. A Gold Wing’s year alone may not identify every brake, electrical, fuel, body or touring component.
How do I know whether a part fits my Honda Gold Wing?
A part fits only the models, years and versions stated in its product description. Read the complete fitment information—not just the product title or photo—and compare it with your motorcycle’s exact model year and factory version.
Parts may differ by production date, market, Standard/Interstate/Aspencade/SE/Tour trim, carbureted or fuel-injected system, transmission option and previous modifications.
What motorcycle information should I send with a fitment question?
Please include:
- Model year
- Complete model designation, such as GL1200A, GL1500SE or Gold Wing Tour
- Factory version: Standard, Interstate, Aspencade, SE, Tour or another version
- Frame VIN or serial number when relevant
- Clear photos of the motorcycle, original part, connectors and mounting area
- Any known engine swaps, wiring changes or aftermarket modifications
The more complete the information, the less chance of an incorrect recommendation.
I am not sure which Gold Wing model or version I own. Where do I start?
Start with the frame VIN or serial number. Do not rely only on paint, badges, fairings, luggage or what a previous owner called the motorcycle; those parts can be changed.
Use our Honda Gold Wing Identification Guide and VIN & Engine Number Guide to confirm the family, model year and factory version.
Does a Honda OEM reference number mean the part is genuine Honda?
No. An OEM number may be shown only as an identification or cross-reference number. The part is genuine Honda only when the product listing specifically states Genuine Honda or Genuine Honda OEM.
Will a universal or custom part bolt directly onto my Gold Wing?
Not necessarily. Universal and custom parts may require measurement, fabrication, wiring changes, brackets, adapters, spacers, tuning or other modification. Check every dimension, mounting requirement and electrical specification before ordering or altering the part.
Important: A product that has been installed, wired, cut, drilled, painted or modified may not qualify for return.
The new part looks slightly different from the original. Should I install it?
Minor finish, marking, packaging or non-functional production differences can occur. However, do not install the part if the mounting points, dimensions, connections, function or application appear wrong.
Contact us before installation and send your order number plus clear photos of the new part, original part and mounting area.
Ordering & Payment
Orders are placed securely through GoldwingParts.com. There is no minimum order.
How can I place an order?
Orders are placed online through GoldwingParts.com. Add the correct products and quantities to your cart, review the shipping address and order details, then complete payment through the secure checkout.
We do not accept paper checks or money orders.
Is there a minimum order?
No. The website does not have a minimum order value.
Which payment methods can I use?
Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Payment must be authorized before the order is fulfilled. Some payment methods may require additional processing time before the funds clear.
Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?
Contact us immediately. We process orders quickly, so changes and cancellations are not guaranteed after an order is submitted. Once an order has been packed or shipped, it cannot be changed.
Check the model, year, quantities, email address and shipping address carefully before finalizing the order.
How are prices, taxes and currency handled?
The price shown at checkout is the price used for the order, subject to correction of obvious website errors. Applicable Canadian sales taxes are calculated by the checkout. Banks and payment providers may apply currency-conversion rates or fees that GoldwingParts does not control.
Why did I not receive an order confirmation?
Check your spam, junk or promotions folder and confirm that the email address used at checkout was correct. Email-filtering or reply-blocking services can stop automated order and tracking messages.
If you still cannot find the confirmation, contact us with your name, delivery address and approximate order time.
Shipping & Delivery
Delivery times are typical estimates, not guarantees. Carrier delays, weather, customs and address problems can add time.
When will my order ship?
Orders placed before 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time typically ship the same business day. Orders placed after the cutoff typically ship the next business day. Weekends, holidays, payment holds and unusual order issues can affect processing.
How long does delivery to the USA usually take?
Ground shipping to the USA typically takes 3–7 business days after the carrier receives the order. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed delivery window.
How long does delivery within Canada usually take?
Delivery within Canada typically takes 2–6 business days after carrier pickup, depending on the destination and service selected.
How much does shipping cost?
Qualifying orders over $50 ship free to the USA and Canada. For orders below the free-shipping threshold, available services and the exact cost are shown at checkout.
Current international shipping services and any destination-specific free-shipping offers are also shown at checkout. The checkout offer in effect when you place the order controls.
Are USA and Canadian orders tariff-free?
GoldwingParts currently advertises 100% tariff-free shipping to the USA and Canada. For other destinations, customers may be responsible for duties, import charges, brokerage fees or government assessments unless the checkout or shipping offer specifically states otherwise.
Which shipping carrier will deliver my order?
We use multiple carriers and select the service based on the package, destination and available delivery options. Your tracking email will identify the carrier assigned to the shipment.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes, for tracked services. Tracking is emailed when the package is picked up or accepted by the carrier. Check your spam or junk folder if you do not see it.
What is Post Economy shipping?
Post Economy may appear at checkout for select small items. It normally takes 1–3 weeks and does not include tracking or insurance. Because there is no tracking, shipment movement and a delivery date cannot be confirmed.
Do you ship internationally?
We ship to many international destinations. Enter the full delivery address at checkout to see whether service is available and which rates apply. If GoldwingParts does not currently serve the destination, the site may direct you to a sister store that ships there.
Damaged, Missing, Incorrect or Delayed Orders
Open the package and inspect the contents promptly. Keep the product, carton, labels and packing material until the issue is resolved.
What should I do if a part arrives damaged?
Contact us as soon as possible. Include your order number and clear photos of:
- The damaged part
- The shipping carton and packing material
- The shipping label
- Any visible damage to the outside of the package
Do not discard the carton or packaging. The carrier may require photographs, documentation or inspection.
What should I do if an item is missing or the wrong part was sent?
Contact us promptly with the order number, the part number that is missing and the part number shown on the item you received, if applicable. Include clear photos of the received item, its label and the complete package contents.
Do not install or modify an incorrect product.
Tracking says delivered, but the package is not here. What should I do?
- Check entrances, porches, garages, parcel lockers and other safe-drop locations.
- Ask household members, coworkers, building staff and nearby neighbors whether they accepted it.
- Contact the local carrier with the tracking number and ask where the driver recorded the delivery.
- If it is still missing, contact us with the order number and tracking number.
My tracking has not moved for several business days. What should I do?
Contact us with your order and tracking numbers. We will review the shipment and work with the carrier to determine the next step. Short gaps between carrier scans can happen, but an extended delay should be checked.
I entered the wrong shipping address. Can it be corrected?
Contact us immediately. An address change is not guaranteed after an order is submitted and may not be possible once the carrier has the package. Additional charges caused by an incorrect address, refused delivery, an unclaimed shipment or unauthorized redirection may be charged or deducted from a refund where permitted.
Returns & Refunds
Do not send a product back without first filing a return request and reading the current Returns Center instructions.
How do I request a return?
Go to the Returns Center and file the return form before shipping anything back. Eligible products generally must be unused, in their original condition and returned within 30 days of purchase.
Wait for the return instructions and follow them exactly. Unauthorized returns may be refused or delayed.
Which products are not eligible for an ordinary return?
Ordinary returns do not include:
- Electrical items
- Gift cards
- Installed, wired, cut, drilled, painted or modified products
- Incomplete products or items not in original condition
- Products damaged for reasons unrelated to our error
Applicable consumer rights and remedies remain in effect.
Why are electrical parts not returnable?
Electrical parts can be damaged immediately by incorrect testing, polarity, wiring, grounding, overloading, failed connectors or an unresolved fault elsewhere on the motorcycle. They must not be purchased or installed as diagnostic tools.
Electrical products are not eligible for ordinary returns. If an electrical item is defective, we supplied the wrong item or applicable law provides a remedy, contact us before installation or further testing.
Who pays return shipping, and is there a restocking fee?
The customer is responsible for return shipping unless the return results from our error or applicable law requires reimbursement. Original shipping costs are generally not refundable. GoldwingParts does not charge a restocking fee on eligible returns.
Use only the return carrier and shipping method stated in the current Returns Center instructions.
When will I receive my refund?
Returned products are inspected before approval. Approved refunds are applied to the original payment method. Returns are processed in batches, so allow additional time after the package reaches the returns department. Your bank or payment provider may also need time to post the credit.
Warranty, Installation & Product Use
Motorcycle parts must be selected, installed, adjusted and inspected correctly. Safety-critical work requires particular care.
What warranty applies to my part?
Unless a different written warranty appears in the product listing or is supplied with the product, warranty remedies are limited to those offered by the manufacturer or supplier and those required by law.
Warranty claims may require proof of purchase, photos, test results, installation information and return of the product. Normal wear, incorrect fitment, improper installation, misuse, neglect, accidents, corrosion, unauthorized modification and damage caused by another failed component are not manufacturing defects.
Should I install a part if it appears damaged, incomplete or incorrect?
No. Stop and contact us before installation. Every product should be inspected for damage, missing components and correct fit before it is installed, wired, filled with fluid, modified or used.
Do product instructions replace the Honda service manual?
No. Product instructions are supplemental information. Use the applicable Honda factory service manual, correct tools, current specifications and recognized motorcycle-repair procedures. If you do not have the required knowledge, tools or experience, have a qualified motorcycle technician perform the work.
What should be checked before installing an electrical or charging-system part?
Test the related wiring, connectors, grounds, battery, charging output, resistance and connected components where applicable. Correct loose, corroded, overheated or damaged connections and identify the cause of the original failure before installing a replacement.
A new regulator/rectifier, stator, starter component, switch or other electrical part can be damaged if the underlying fault remains.
Which motorcycle systems require extra installation care?
Brake, steering, suspension, wheel, tire, fuel, throttle, engine, cooling, final-drive and electrical parts are safety-critical. After installation, inspect and test the affected systems safely before normal operation. Stop riding immediately if any leak, unusual operation, warning sign or unsafe condition appears.
