A family code such as SC02 or SC22 does not identify Interstate, Aspencade, SE, Tour or other equipment versions by itself.
On 1981 and newer Honda Gold Wings, the 10th character of the 17-character VIN identifies the model year.
The codes repeat every 30 years. For example, B can mean 1981 or 2011. The rest of the VIN and the Gold Wing generation tell you which year is correct.
