Honda Gold Wing Chassis & Body Buying & Fitment Guide
Gold Wing body and chassis pieces are often defined by trim level as much as by engine size. Fairings, pockets, seats, side covers, stands, footrests, locks and mounting hardware can change with the model year, touring package and left or right side.
What This Collection Covers
This collection includes seat and seat-cover parts, fairing and pocket components, side-cover hardware and rubber mounts, center- and side-stand pieces, footrests, floorboards, shift rubbers, fender and mud-flap parts, locks, trim and selected universal/custom chassis accessories.
Products may fit a standard model but not an Interstate, Aspencade, Limited or SE, or may fit only one side. The product page is the fitment authority.
Check Chassis & Body Fitment Before Ordering
Model, year and trim: Confirm the complete designation, not only GL1100, GL1200 or GL1500. Standard, Interstate, Aspencade, Limited and SE equipment can differ.
Part location and side: Check front or rear, left or right, upper or lower, and the exact fairing, cover, seat, stand or footrest location.
Mounting details: Compare hole spacing, bracket shape, tabs, studs, fastener threads, rubber mounts and surrounding clearance.
Dimensions and finish: Verify length, width, thickness, contour, color or finish, especially for seat covers, fairing pieces and trim.
Quantity supplied: Confirm whether the listing includes one rubber, one bracket, a pair, a complete cover set or mounting hardware.
Universal/custom chassis parts may require fabrication or drilling. Do not modify the motorcycle or new part until dimensions, mounting and control clearance have been confirmed.
Common Chassis & Body Parts Questions
Do Standard, Interstate, Aspencade and SE body parts interchange?
Not automatically. Touring fairings, luggage, seats, trim, brackets and mounting hardware can differ by trim and year even when the motorcycles share an engine family.
Is a seat cover the same as a complete seat?
No. A seat cover is upholstery intended to be fitted over a suitable seat foam and pan unless the listing explicitly says a complete seat is supplied.
Are side-cover rubbers and mounting hardware sold as complete sets?
Only when the product page says so. Many rubbers, collars, clips, bolts and spacers are sold individually or in a limited pack, so check the supplied quantity.
Will a center-stand or side-stand part fit every year in a model family?
No. Stand shape, pivot diameter, spring arrangement, stop rubber and mounting hardware can change. Match the exact model, year and part location.
Are universal footrests, floorboards or highway pegs direct replacements?
No. They may require suitable clamps, brackets, hardware or fabrication. Check mounting diameter, width, folding clearance, exhaust clearance and rider-control access.
Can I identify a fairing or cover only by appearance?
That is risky. Similar-looking parts can differ in contour, mounting tabs, pocket shape, trim holes and side. Compare measurements, mounting points and the stated model-year application.
